Turkish Airlines carried 8,7 million passengers with an increase of 11% in September 2023
Turkish Airlines announced passenger and cargo traffic results for September with an increase in passenger capacity by 8.6% compared to that of 2022, and total load factor of 86.2% while carrying 8.7 million passengers.
According to August 2023 Traffic Results;
- The number of carried passengers increased by 11% compared to the same period of 2022 and reached 8.7 million. International load factor was 85.4% while domestic load factor was 92.7%.
- Number of international to international passengers carried increased by 20.5% from 2.4 million in 2022 to 2.9 million in this period.
- Available seat kilometers (ASK), increased by 8.6% to 22.2 billion during the period of August 2023 from 20.5 billion for the same period of 2022.
- Cargo/Mail carried during the period of August 2023 decreased by 1% to 146.9 thousand tons from 148.3 thousand tons in the same period of 2022.
According to the January-August 2023 Traffic Results;
- The total number of passengers increased by 20% to 56 million compared to the same period of 2022.
- The number of international to international passengers carried increased by 34% to 19.7 million from 14.7 million in the same period of 2022.
- Total load factor increased by 4 points to 82.9% compared to the same period of 2022. International load factor was 82.6% while domestic load factor was 84.6%.
- Available seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 17.7% to 154.9 billion from 131.6 billion for the same period of 2022.
- Cargo/Mail carried during this period decreased by 6.9% to 1,037 thousand tons from 1,114 thousand tons in the same period of 2022.
- By the end of August 2023, the number of aircraft in the fleet was 428.
