IGA Istanbul Airport hosted the 123rd Meeting of the Performance Review Committee (PRC) of EUROCONTROL.
The PRC independently reviews the door-to-door aviation performance of 41 member countries and publishes annual reports.
During the meeting, attended by representatives from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the State Airports Authority (DHMI), and Turkish Airlines (THY), as well as the committee chairman Mr. Marinus de Jong and other members, the following main topics were discussed:
📌Increasing data sharing with the PRC, providing more comments on the Performance Review Report (PRR), and other technical work 📌Enabling the PRC to present benchmarks with the PRR 📌Examining the cost and ATM performance within the framework of the ATM Cost-Effective Benchmarking Report (ACE) and the pros and cons of different financial methods implemented in various countries and their impact on performance
Furthermore, during this visit to IGA Istanbul Airport, which operates the highest number of passenger and flight operations in the European airspace, our General Manager Ismail H. Polat shared our technology improvements and operational experiences with the participants, aiming to make the European airspace more efficient.
